DFW Real Estate Hunter
This website was built for a real estate brokerage firm in the DFW Metroplex. It interfaces with the NTREIS MLS service to fetch all the property listings for North Texas and formatted and indexed them into a secure, user-friendly website with an intuitive interface. Features include user profiles, user bookmarking of properties, javascript image gallery for the property images, and ajax searching.
We also setup a secure dedicated linux hosting server with firewall for this website.
Samsung Telecommunications America (STA)
I am currently consulting with the training manager for an internal web-based training system for multiple warehouse locations in the DFW area. This is an extensive project requiring many months of work. I am currently working with the training manager building the content for the training system. Content includes slideshow presentations, audio voice over, video, certification tests, and a large amount of textual data. I have been learning a lot about using Drupal as a learning management system. Several prototypes have been presented which offers one Drupal-based solution for multiple locations. A Course content type was created to which any number of lessons, videos, slideshows, webforms, quizs, and Flash interactive video quiz SCORM packages can be linked. Multiple user types have been designed: student,trainer,manager. Trainers can be assigned courses to manage; adding lessons, quiz questions, tracking student results. The website automatically generates statistics, reports, and charts that show the progress of groups of employees on a per course basis. 911 Wildlife
911 Wildlife is a humane animal removal business in both the DFW and the Houston areas. The website was designed using Drupal which makes it a powerful content management system. The employees for the business can easily add and edit content with almost no web knowledge necessary. Features include an online store, contact form, news and events blog, detailed service descriptions optimized for SEO, and streaming video capability, and mobile device detection and redirection to a mobile device optimized site.
This website is a Drupal 6 installation. The owner came to me with the goal of getting her website to list page one on Google for "animal removal dallas" as well as for the surrounding cities. In addition we targeted specific animal removal keywords such as "squirrel removal dallas" and "opossum removal plano." As you can research yourself the goals are achieved and her website is listed on page one on Google for almost all the sets of keywords we targeted.
This customer also requested a custom captcha feature. She didn't like the available methods and wanted a specific interface for this feature. I developed a Drupal module which displays an image with a recognizable animal which the user must recognize and select the appropriate name from a list to continue. Click here to see it in action.

The Cactus King
The Cactus King is a large wholesale and retail cactus and succulent nursery located on I-45 in Houston, TX. This was a large project which took several months involving the creation of a website with a complete inventory of over 800 plants most of which are available for online sale. The online store takes orders, accepts credit cards, manages shipping, invoices, and a customer database.
I researched the plants and entered in the data, photographed his entire inventory, and posted it online. The plants are organized with a detailed categorization structure divided into several categories including family, type, and location of origin. The store takes credit cards and calculates shipping by weight. The site has been very successful with good amounts of online sales and over 2500 hits a month. 3 months after the launch of TheCactusKing.com major new customers learned from the web of the nursery and purchased large amounts of cactus.
I strategically implemented a targeted SEO strategy to achieve page one, listing two for the critical keyword set of "cactus houston" and page one, listing one, for "wholesale cactus houston." Services for this customer include training employees for day-to-day business use of the website such as editing plant information and prices and managing the orders from the online store. User's can apply for a wholesale account and then log into the website to get wholesale pricing and information.

Canyon's Edge Nursery
This Amarillo based nursery wanted to publish an extensive plant database so their customers can view plant details and pictures before they make wholesale orders. This website features awesome categorization and filtering so users can easily find the exact plant that meets their needs. Clicking on any category narrows down the search result list. Multiple categories can be selected to further narrow down the results. Other features include photo galleries, video streaming, and blog functionality.
